Climate change has a wide-ranging impact on health, from infectious diseases to food insecurity, heat- and pollution-related illnesses, and injuries and deaths caused by extreme weather events. It also disrupts health systems and access to medical services, exacerbating health problems. It is essential to adapt, and to do so now.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5adb148 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5adb148\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Shaping markets for self-care technologies<\/h4><p>While self-care can never fully replace the need for face-to-face support, self-care technologies &#8211; including diagnostics, devices, medicines and digital health solutions &#8211; enable individuals to self-manage their health during (and after) climate-induced crises. In partnership with UNITAID and CIFF, ACMS helps shape markets for self-care and builds resilient supply chains, expanding access to healthcare by putting technologies directly in the hands of ordinary people.<\/p><p>Our work focuses on self-testing for HIV, hepatitis C and B, and self-injectable contraceptives, among other self-care technologies.<\/p><h4><strong>Our approch<\/strong><\/h4><p>To manage the health risks of climate change, we make healthcare systems more resilient by training front-line health workers and promoting self-care. We inform, educate and raise the voices of the people we serve.<\/p><p>We use partnerships with community networks and our experience in social and behavioral change and human-centered design to support adaptation and mitigation interventions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aa9731a elementor-share-buttons--view-icon
